Concept art of a personal project. This structure represents the home base of a desert scavenger set in a post apocalyptic universe.
Early on, for my shapes, I knew I wanted many elements to stick out from the silhouette to represent the scrappy nature of the structure.
I personnaly liked the design with the fighter helicopter as it counts the story of a past war. So I chose that particular design and readapted the design a little bit to make it functionnal and more interesting of a design.
Once I was satisfied, I made a 3D mockup in order to find a nice view for perspective and to create some light that I can work with.
The color research was perhaps the hardest part, as I was very much stuck with painting realistic and rather monotoneous colours.
So after a lot of different iterations, I decided to go with some more bold colours that would show more of a personnality of the character living there.
This was a very fun design to work with and I'll be developping more structures later on to develop the universe further.
