A Princess And Her Rain Flower

I’ll say it straight away. THIS TITLE MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
At a stretch, it’s a poetic licence, and if you don’t know what that means, well, too bad for you. (Yes, that’s irony.)

Anyway. On a slightly more serious note. I wanted to take part in Pride. Since it’s June. And I’ve got this serious fantasy about lesbians, like “That’s so cool”, just like a kid in the playground. Yeah, in terms of objectivity, it’s not exactly high-flying.
BUT. Still on Wings of Fire, and I wanted to do some fan art of the Tamarin and Anémone couple. Only I’ve got a problem with that… the couple is practically non-existent. Given that we never see the two characters speak to each other, even when they’re in the same room.

On the other hand, I really like what they represent and the symbolism surrounding them.
Obviously, it’s the setting because LESBIAN!!!!
But it’s about two different clans: the Rainwing | Seawing
Two social classes. The peasant florist | The princess
She is blind | She has Animus powers
She is kind | She is selfish
She has no formal education | She has had a royal upbringing.
She is not naive | She is easily manipulated.
She has no family | She has one
She is independent and self-sufficient | She needs servants and attention
She is close to her queen | She had to kill her entire family.
She has no backstory | She has one.
In short, you get the idea. Everything is polar opposites. But I think it works really well.
