Long ago, in an ancient demonic fief forgotten by all, a forbidden experiment was conducted by mages greedy for immortality. They succeeded in creating an entity that refused death—but at a terrible cost: a monstrous, devouring creature driven by an insatiable hunger. It consumed everything—living, dead, matter—until the entire realm was eradicated. Only the most powerful demons, at the price of great sacrifice, managed to seal it away. It was named Nevor, and its name was erased from all chronicles to prevent anyone from ever awakening it again.
Centuries later, as the war between demons and humans reached a point of balance, the general of the demonic army conceived a strategy more twisted than open warfare: to corrupt from within. He decided to release Nevor—but with subtlety. The goal: to place it at the heart of a strategically vital human territory, a city that supplied much of their military force.
But unleashing Nevor was no easy task. Even the oldest demons trembled in its presence. All… except one: Sérina, the Mistress of Desire. Seductive, elusive, Sérina possessed a unique gift for manipulating hearts and slipping past defenses. Yet it wasn’t just her talents that led the general to choose her. Sérina was drawn to what she did not possess. Nevor—this uncontrollable thing that even demon lords feared—awakened within her a hidden longing. A desire as dangerous as it was mysterious.
Infiltrated into the human city under the guise of an enchanting stranger, Sérina charmed the guards, earned the trust of the powerful, and quietly weakened the defenses. In secret, she freed Nevor, fed it, allowed it to grow once more in the shadows—slowly recreating the nightmare that had once destroyed her own world.
Later, the surviving humans would speak of a calamity with two faces: the beguiling beauty who disarmed hearts, and the nameless beast that devoured them. They would not have names. They would speak only of: Lust… and Gluttony.
